How does a partner verify my membership in BritBears?

You can verify your active membership in BritBears using the Member eCard on your smartphone. This will show proof to any participating partners that your membership is current and active.

To show the Member eCard, do the following:

  1. On your smartphone, access the BritBears website (www.britbears.org)
  2. From the very top menu select “Log In’, or “Member Login” on the side bar.
  3. Provide your user credentials and complete the log in.
  4. From the very top menu, select “Member eCard”, or from the main navigation select MEMBERSHIP > Member eCard.

I paid my dues, but my membership hasn’t been upgraded from PENDING to ACTIVE. Why?

It may take a few days for the bank transfer to go through, and then for us to activate your membership. In general, we say it can take up to five business days. If you feel there is a problem in activating your membership, please contact us using the Contact Us form and we will be happy to sort it out.

How do I pay my BritBears membership dues?

Paying your membership dues is easy- we will accept your dues with a simple bank transfer or with Paypal (including debit and credit cards). You will receive the bank details and Paypal information during checkout, or on the Member Account page.

I lost my password to BritBears website, what do I do?

Recovering your password is easy. Go to www.britbears.org and complete the Member Login form on the website sidebar. If your password is incorrect, you will see “ERROR: Invalid username or email. Lost your password?” By clicking the link you will be directed to a password recovery form. Enter your email address, and we will send you an email to create a new password.

Why does my browser say the BritBears.org 'Connection is not secure'?

This means that the BritBears.org website does not use SSL security, and this is a standard browser warning. What this means is that we because we don’t have a SSL certificate, your data while interacting with the website is not encrypted and so if the network you are using is  compromised, someone may be able to intercept your browsing activity unencrypted. We collect as little personal information as absolute necessary, and do not collect any financial information. Nevertheless, we recommend you only use the website while on a trusted network.
